Classified Avengers Intel

I’m pretty sure it goes without saying that I am more than excited for the AVENGERS film from Marvel Studios coming May 15 of 2012. I am usually a very patient person. All good things come in time yadah yadah yadah but, when it comes to a film I have been planning to see since 1994, I CAN WAIT NO LONGER!



So I did some digging here and there and I came across some information. Some things I have confirmed, others I have pieced together myself. All are potential spoilers so I give fair warning now. To leave and never read all this hot, juicy, delicious information that I have.
Now if you’re up to date on all your AVENGERS prequels (Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk, Thor, and Captain America) you will already know that Colonel Nick Fury head of S.H.I.E.L.D. is gathering heroes and Super humans to fight off an impending threat to the World and quite possibly the Universe. Here’s what’s known from the films,

• Loki fell into what looked like infinite space but didn’t die
• Tony Stark Iron Man is now a part of the AVENGERS
• Captain America has been found buried in ice by S.H.I.E.L.D. in the present
• Back in 1942 Red Skull meets his fate by way of a Cosmic Cube-gasm
• And the Hulk is… green?

These events set up the upcoming AVENGERS film. Now I have seen many set photos and early renderings of characters and even footage of an abandoned movie licensed video game. Here is what I believe is going to go down next summer

• Even though it only seemed like a few days had passed since Loki fell into space and him appearing in the mirror, he looks much different. I think Lokie may have spent much more time in space than it seems and he met other beings.

• When Red Skull was sucked into the Cosmic Cube, it opened up what looked like a gate way to space, the same space that Loki fell into. I think that maybe Red Skull and Loki may have already met floating around in space. I mean, it could get pretty lonely out there.
• There has been lots of rumors that the Skrulls may appear in the film. It has never been confirmed nor denied by the producers of the film. But, in the video of the video game test shots there are Skrull enemies. Also, there are set photos of action scenes where the stunt doubles are wearing full body CG suits.
• No matter how much testosterone there is in these movies, there’s always gotta be a LoVe thang goin on. Now in the comics of the AVENGERS Captain America and Black Widow were an item and I believe they have a child together. From what I gather in this film Black Widow and Hawkeye seem to be together. Obviously when you get a team together things don’t always work out and if this film follows that formula then I believe that’s where there will be a falling out. Plus Hawkeye always was a bit of a prick anyway.

Remember this is all crap I just assumed. I could be horribly wrong. So feel free to discuss.
