I love robots. Who doesn't? I love fighting movies. Who wouldn't? Does that mean I loved the Transformers films? Well to tell the truth I'm still not sure. But! Dreamworks has teamed up with Disney Studios (or the other way around) to put out a film that basically looks like a live action Rock'em Sock'em Robots. Sound corny? Think again.
Real Steel takes place in the near future where the sport of professional (and underground) boxing goes from flesh to metal. Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) is a washed up boxer who felt the turn of boxing from man to robot when he was on his road to redemption. Now Kenton fixes up old beaten down robots to restore them to mint fighting condition. Charlie and his son compete their prize machine to take their one shot at a comeback. Real Steel will be in theaters October 2011.
